“Ultimate Good Always”
Deuteronomy 6
Sermon Notes 01/21/2024
It is good to receive, practice, teach, fear, keep and multiply the Word, Will and Ways of God (Deut. 6:1-3).
It is good to hear, proclaim, love and devote every ounce of our being to the God who is one and who is good (Deut. 6:4-6).
It is good to have God’s Word on the heart today. It is good to share God’s Word with diligence, with delight, with devotion, with discernment and with dependability while being down to earth(Deut. 6:7-9).
It is good to be driven in proclaiming God’s Word. When people stop being driven by the truth of God they forget God and destruction follows (Deut. 6:10-15).
It is good to be intentional about remembering God and careful to stay in bounds of all that He has commanded. Lack of care comes with consequences. Through lack of care in our spiritual life with God we become cold-hearted, closed-minded, corrupt, critical, cruel, cynical, crude, confused, crabby and cranky because we are cursed (Deuteronomy 7:16-25).
Are you fixated on what feels good or what is the ultimate good (Deuteronomy 6:24)?
