“Delightfully Different”
Deuteronomy 5:1-22
Sermon Notes 01/14/2024
Deuteronomy 14:2- For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. (KJV)
Are we willing to be delightfully different peculiar people?
Peculiar people who walk by faith are called to listen to a delightfully different source of truth (Deuteronomy 5:1-6).
Peculiar people who walk by faith think delightfully differently and are cautiously closed minded about God (Deuteronomy 5:7-15).
Peculiar people who walk by faith because they love the God who first loved them are called to a delightfully different relationship to others.
-
God calls those who walk by faith to honor and heal not hurt and kill.
-
God calls those who walk by faith to abstain and give not indulge and steal.
-
God calls those who walk by faith to truth and contentment not lies and envious zeal (Deuteronomy 5:16-21).1 Peter 2:9 - KJV
Are you delightfully different and purposefully peculiar because you are walking by faith and loving the God who first loved you?
