A great verse for today is Galatians 6:2: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Bearing a burden all alone is a difficult task. As a man, I struggle to ask for help. Throughout my life, I have attempted to bear many burdens alone that I should have sought help for. I even have the backaches and chiropractor appointments to prove it. There are burdens we must face with Christ alone as our help and strength, but most of the burdens placed before us are not meant to be carried alone. Don't break your back or your heart trying to carry a burden by yourself when there is a brother or sister in Christ who could help carry it with you. For that is how we will fulfill our calling as Christians to love one another. Seek help today if you are carrying a burden that feels too heavy, or reach out to someone in need of a burden bearer! Let us cast our cares upon Jesus today and love one another.
Remember to tell someone about our Fall Festival this Sunday, October 27th, from 4 PM to 6 PM.
May we glorify God, honor Christ, and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
